Executive Summary | The 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake caused severe seismic motions in various parts of the Kansai region, including a severe earthquake with a seismic intensity of VII in Kobe and a strong earthquake with a seismic intensity of V in Kyoto. It also caused serious damage to Kobe Port and other areas. In the port area strong-motion seismometer network, which began observation in 1962 and has been recording since 1963, strong-motion seismometers were activated at 25 points in 18 ports due to this earthquake, and digital data was recorded at 21 points in 17 ports. I was able to get the acceleration record. In this paper, we report 21 ground and surface strong motion records observed by the port area strong motion network during the main shock of the Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake, as well as records observed during aftershocks. |
