The demand of strengthening of existing concrete pavements is increasing in many airports in Japan, because heavier aircraft have become popular than before. This research work is carried out in order to develop new technique for thin bonded overlay using roller compacted concrete (RCC), which has several merits such as
simple and easy execution procedure on cite, short time until re-open of overlayed pavement for traffic and so on.
