Recently, Amenity-oriented Structures have been constructed in order to make the general public commune with sea. Ancillary facilities, for example fences and benches, usually are installed in the amenity-oriented structures in order to keep their safety and make them feel comfortable.
　But it is difficult that the materials to make the ancillary facilties are selected and the methods of maintenance are determined, since the technical manual does not have been made.
　So, a survery on the materials and the maintenance technology by questionnarire was carried out for the port management bodies.
　In this paper, the results of the survey and analysis are presented.
