Executive Summary

A vibration measurement of pile driving at a construction site of a quaywall is carried out. An analysis of the vibration due to pile driving and an influence of the vibration under curing on a strength of a concrete are discussed. The followings are made clear.
(1) A vertical component of the vibration due to pile driving is smaller than a horizontal component of that. And the horizontal component in parallel to a transmission direction is greater than that in orthogonal direction.
(2) The maximum velocity decreases according to increase of the distance between a driving spot and a batter pile anchorage, especially it is remakable within 50 meter's distance.
(3) If an execution of a vertical construction joint is controlled carefully, and if forms and steel bars are firmly on the batter pile anchorage in order that a concrete and a steel bar vibrate in a body, it is supposed that the vibration under curing has little influence upon the strength of the concrete.
