This is the only large wave-generating tank designed for experiments on newly developedmachines for underwater investigation, work and also underwater construction machines. The water depth, wave height (0.5 m max.), and cycle can be adjusted for experiment simulating conditions in an actual sea site. Using this facility, PARI is promoting research on equipment, sensors, and robots in a wide range of fields from ocean civil engineering to ocean development.

* This tank is 30 m long x10 m wide with a depth setting to 6 m. A purifier reduces water turbidity to allow clear underwater observations.
