Executive Summary

This document discusses the development process using test pavement for the structural design method of airport asphalt pavement with poorly mixed concrete roadbed. First, the structural and functional characteristics of the test pavement were examined, and as a result, the joint load of the poorly mixed concrete roadbed was critical, and the use of a thick asphalt concrete layer on the roadbed and a granular lower layer beneath it was confirmed. was found to be structurally advantageous. Next, the parameters at the time of structural design were estimated by inverse analysis of the test data, and verified by comparing with the measured values. Then, using multi-layer elastic theory, we clarified the policy of structural design considering joint load, fatigue property of concrete, etc., and finally examined its applicability.
