As the function of the rubber fender, the important purpose to prevent from the damage of the shipping and the mooring facilities at the time of the alongside pier is imposed. However, the maintenance of the fender after installation is not enough because it is generally handled as the attachment facilities.
　In consideration of Such a present situation, we investigated the deterioration situation and so on in the actual state, and the use condition of the part which is installed at the 316 facilities in the main 91 ports in the whole country for the V-type rubber fender which are most numbers of the use. Also, in confirming the decline of material efficiency about the partial sample from the dynamics examination and the material examination, the point of view of the function evaluation by the V-type rubber fender is gathered.
