Executive Summary

On the planning of the harbour roads, peak hourly traffic volume is used for the decision of lane number. On the other hand, traffic volume in the future is usually calculated at the yearly volume when it is composed from several kind of traffic which indicates the relation between the hourly traffic volume and the yearly volume on the composed traffic.
In port area, the parameters such as the ratio of hourly volume to AADT and the ratio of prominent direction traffic at the 30th highest hourly volume (they are called K value and D value), have not been analyzed.
In this report, K value and D value in port area were presented for the first time based on the yearly traffic volume observation in 1993 and 1994.
And K and D values by the observation are larger than the average of values in urban area.
