We have few famous waterfront promenade in Japan. Today, waterfront promenade design is consider as the surface of structure as if color painting or color pavement.
　The purpose of this study is to identify pattern or characteristics of component as if 1)location, 2)figure, 3)distance, 4)imaginary punctuation of Space, which form sturcture of waterfront promenade.
　In this study we pick up famous waterfront promenade in France and United Kingdam and analize them.
