Synthetic economic evaluation model for port proiect was proposed in Report of the P.H.R.I., Vol.21, No.2. As shown in this report, the effects generated by port investiment can be estimated using input-coefficient, inverse matrix, and so on. But, data as to the port service industries and other industries which depend upon seaborne cargos are not enough to estimate the effects caused by these activities.
　From this point of view, this paper proposes some methods of investigations of various kinds of data, which are necessary to estimate economic effects of port project through the use of the model proposed in the report stated above.
