Executive Summary

 Prestressed concrete has many abvantages of a structural material for offshore facilities, and it is exected that many facilities of prestressed concrete will be constructed in the future. There are. however, several problems in the design and the construction at present to build the good facilities at high sea of severe marine condition.
 This paper explaines the concept of prestressed concrete at first, introduces the offshore structures of prestressed concrete, and examines the problems above mentioned to present an idea to solve them.
