Executive Summary

 This technical data presents on the results of the investigation which was carried out second times on the stresses of the axes of the cassion launching truck at the launching of the cassions. The cassion launching truck belongs to Sakata Port Construction office of First Port and Harbour Construction Bureau, and the weight of cassions launched at each investigation were both 1500 tons. look into the causes of the resident bending of the axes of the truck, generated by the past cassion launching operations of the truck, measuring the stresses of the axes of the truck. On the base of the results of this first inuestigation, the launching rails and axes of the truck were improved. The second investigations was carried out soon after the improvement for the purpose of the examination whether the safety of cassion launching operation was raised or not.
 Through these two investigation, the touching state of the wheels of the truck with the launching rails, the launching state of the truck and the causes of generation of the resident bending of the axes were also investigated.
