In October 1968, an agreement of the Summary to carry out the Wave Observations at Selected Stations was settled in the Bureau for Port and Harbours, Ministry of Transport. According to this summary, statistical analysis of wave data observed at Selected Stations for five years was taken in Port and Harbour Research Institute.
　This paper reports the statistical characteristics of wave data at following seventeen stations;

　2nd D.P.C.B. : HACHINOHE, OGAWARA, KASHIMA, TOKYOWANKO, HABU
　3rd D.P.C.B. : SHIONOMISAKI, KOBE, HAMADA
　4th D.P.C.B. : UBE, HASHIMA
　Okinawa General Bureau : NAHA, NAKAGUSUKU
　Hokkaido Development Bureau : TOMAKOMAI, RUMOI, KUSHIRO
　The contents consists of frequency distributions of wave height, duration of wave continuation, and probability wave height and return period, etc.
