Executive Summary

This report consists of three parts.
First, the simulation program of the cargo capacity in storages are developed, adding to the generalized queueing simulation program in port, already developed and published.
Next, the cargo-related data are collected and some characteristics of them are derived.
Last, using the above simulation program and the cargo characteristics obtained, port activity of ships and cargoes are simulated in the electronic computer. Simulation cases are chosen to be helpful for macro-scopical estimate in actual stuation.
Comparing mathematical results under some distinctions and the results of the simulation, the functional relationships between them are suggested. This will be a major research work following this report.
