A Comprehensive Environment Assessment System for Port Planning

Executive Summary

 The theme of environment conserbation in port has been limited only to the direct problems, such a diffusion of water pollution owing to the reclaiming works on the dredging works, and the break on the coast owing to the breakwater. But, show more variety in port functions of nowadays has created many problems of port environment. One of them is the ecological problems about animals, plants, and etc. Another is the social problems about the view, the community, and etc. On estimation of port plan, we must consider these heterogeneous environmental conditions synthetically. Then, considering the characteristics about port plan, this thesis discusses followings.
1) The environment is divided into three categories, that is, environment effect elements, environment factors, environment matters.
2) The comprehensive environment estimation system with the object to grasp the interrelation among the four categories the human society in addition to three categories above mentioned.
