Executive Summary

The calmness of Omaezaki Port and the measures to improve the calmness have been studies with a scale model of 1/150 against the waves from SE using regular waves and the waves from NE using irregular waves.
The test results suggest that the extreme point of the main breakwater should be bent at the angle of 30 degrees and the construction of a jetty in the middle of the breakwater is necessary for the decrease of the wave action in Port.
This model test has been performed by the Port and Harbour Research Institute under the commission of Sizuoka Prefecture.
