This report is the first step to estimate the design method of coupled batter piles. In order to design for coupled batter piles by solving equilibrium equations of load and displacement, we ought to know the relationship between load and displacement of a pile. The method to estimate the axial load vs. settlement curve is given herein. Error of estimation for load under given value of settlement is ±25% within the range of allowable bearing capaity of a pile.
