Coastal and Ocean Development Research Group was born in April, 2008. It was reorganized from Offshore Structures Lab., Geotechnical and Structural Engineering Department, together with a part of Marine Information Lab., Marine Environment and Engineering Department.

Based on the Basic Act on Ocean Policy, enforced in 2007, we contribute to realize a new oceanic State in harmonization of the peaceful and positive development and use of the oceans with the conservation of the marine environment, under the international cooperation.
Research Achievements
Effective use of observed data by GPS buoy
We are investigating the characteristics of offshore wind in order to apply to the technical development of offshore wind power generation.
