Current and water quality measurement system installed inside Tokyowan Ferry "Kanaya-Maru"

Current and water quality at the mouth of Tokyo Bay are observed using Tokyowan Ferry "Kanaya-Maru".
The observation started in 2003. In 2003, several projects, eg. extension project of Haneda Airport, were planned.
In order to evaluate the impacts on Tokyo Bay, we have started the long term environmental monitoring at the mouth of Tokyo Bay.
Current is observed using ADCP installed at the bottom of the ferry.
Sea surface Temperature and salinity are observed pumping up sea water from sea chest of the ferry.
